Bohemian Style
Walking through the wooden gate into the garden, you will find yourself in a bohemian Ibiza style atmosphere; a large covered lounge with kilim pillows, wonderful sun beds, hammocks, the swimming pool (40m² / 430 ft²), sauna, rain shower and a large dining table under a covered veranda with outdoor kitchen. A level below you will find an extra lounge seat with outside kitchen, where you can drink a cold drink while the children play table tennis or a game of darts. Inside you will find 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room with beautiful basics and a fully equipped kitchen.
Relax
On this sun-drenched piece of Spain, you can opt to quietly read a book sunk into the soft cushions of the lounge sofa or fall asleep in the hammock. In the morning you go straight from your bed into the pool for a refreshing start of the day … all surrounded by the most beautiful views and only the sound of birds.
If you can get yourself to leave the Villa, the beach is only a 35-minute drive away.
Top of a hill
As Casa Wils is on the top of a hill, it gives you the feeling of grandeur, as an impressive view surrounds you. The 2000-meter-high La Maroma mountain in the east dominates the landscape and offers you views of snowy white peaks in the winter months. You are in the middle of the beautiful Axarquia region with the many white Spanish mountain villages that you can discover when you follow the Mudejar route. Casa Wils is located between the villages of Canillas de Aceituno and Alcaucin, two of the many typical Moorish villages located on the edge of the Sierras de Tejeda nature park. Torre del Mar is a 35-minute drive away and is a small and very pleasant coastal town for tourists. You’ll find beautiful beaches and a 4 km. long pedestrian boulevard with cozy restaurants.

Het was een prachtig huisje. Het voldeed absoluut aan onze verwachtingen. Onze verwachtingen waren realistisch, dankzij jullie zeer mooie website met veel informatie en dankzij het email verkeer.
Wij hebben het meeste genoten van de prachtige ligging van het huis, de rust, de absolute far niente, het zwembad en zithoek, de ibiza style buitenleven, de buitenkeuken... Ook hebben wij genoten van een no nonsense, maar heerlijke lunch in Canillas
We hebben een heerlijke week gehad eind september 2016. Een prachtig huis, van alle gemakken voorzien en je voelt de gastvrijheid. Het uitzicht en omgeving zijn adembenemend. Je voelt je welkom. Alle aanwezige voorzieningen mochten gebruikt worden en een koud drankje stond klaar bij aankomst.<br /> We hebben genoten en naar waarde mijn 65e verjaardag daar gevierd met het gezin, aanhang en kleinkind. Annemiek en Alan nog bedankt voor de mogelijkheid en de begeleiding.
Werkelijk in 1 woord: schitterend!! Zowel de ligging boven op de berg (prachtig uitzicht 360 graden), de buitenruimte eromheen (groot, luxe) als het huis zelf (van alle gemakken voorzien). Vooral het zwembad, de grote loungeplek buiten, de hangmatten en de regendouche buiten met warm water zijn waanzinnig goed. Wat ons betreft meer dan voor herhaling vatbaar. Tip: ook fantastisch als trouwlocatie! 🙂
Alan was a very charming, friendly and helpful host. Always eager to help us out with info. Nice to know one can rely on a person who is familiar with the house and surroundings (restaurants, shops, to dos). We felt like being in Hollywood and at home at the same time.
Loved the way the owners thought about the garden and interior. Breakable stuff (plates, glasses)wisely chosen at Ikea but some very nice design furniture. Pity the sunbeds were too big to take back home in our luggage :-). We just loved reading our books on it while enjoying the spectacular views and a good glass of Spanish wine. The exterior sitting area was just top.
We spent lots of nightly hours solving the world problems with good wines and romantic candles while listening to the grasshoppers having their nightly party and watching the stard. Felt like heaven on earth...The shadow construction above a part of the pool is an ingenious and welcome shade invention. Loved the airco in the bedrooms. The combination with the qualitative beds and complete silent surrounding guaranteed a perfect night's rest.
A house with such a view for the first time on holiday made us stay in a couple of nights for dinner. Kids loved to bake their own pizza, men loved to make a fire for the BBQ and the clean and well-equiped kitchen was a nice invitation to prepare lovely salads. We were really sad to leave but at the same time wetre grateful the Wils' family shared this lovely spot with us.
